          1. A mold refers to a precision forming tool used for batch forming, processing, stamping, and other products. Mold accuracy includes the precision of the parts obtained during processing and the quality awareness of ensuring product accuracy during production. However, the commonly referred to mold accuracy mainly refers to the precision of the working parts of the mold The concept of precision in mold processing refers to the degree of conformity between the actual geometric parameters of mold parts after processing and assembly and the design geometric parameters. The concept of precision in mold production refers to the various thinking patterns gradually formed by enterprise employees in production practice, guiding their production behavior. It is a quality awareness that is always implemented in the behavior of enterprise employees based on product precision.

2.The content of mold accuracy includes four aspects: dimensional accuracy, shape accuracy, positional accuracy, and surface accuracy. Due to the fact that the mold has two parts during operation: the upper and lower molds, the positional accuracy between the upper and lower molds is the most important among the four types of accuracy.

        3. Mold accuracy serves the precision of the product, and high-precision products must be guaranteed by higher precision molds. Mold accuracy generally needs to be 2 or more levels higher than the precision of the product.

       4. China has been able to produce multi-station progressive molds with an accuracy of 2 micrometers, with a lifespan of over 300 million strokes. The multi-station progressive molds produced by individual enterprises can now be used on high-speed punching machines every 2000 times, with an accuracy of up to one micrometer. The coastal areas, especially Guangdong Province, are at the forefront of the domestic industry in terms of both quantity and quality of mold manufacturing, and the mold making technology has approached the international level.

5.The difference between precision molds and ordinary molds lies in their precision. Due to the wide range of fields involved in molds, precision molds have different definitions for different industries and fields. At present, there is no unified definition standard to define whether a set of molds is a precision mold. The key is that the product dimensions produced by it are accurately defined in both the national standard and the ministerial standard of the Ministry of Machinery Industry. In terms of automotive parts, plastic molds and die-casting molds are commonly used, and the size requirements of products are relatively strict. Some dimensional tolerances are only defined within plus or minus 0.005mm. Meanwhile, the manufacturing of precision molds mainly relies on advanced equipment, advanced processing technology, and excellent manufacturing personnel.
